Landel C. Hobbs

Chief Operating Officer

 

Landel C. Hobbs, Chief Operating Officer of Time Warner Cable, is responsible for the business operations of all Time Warner Cable locations serving more than 14 million residential customers in 28 states. He also oversees the company’s commercial services and media sales operations, as well as corporate marketing and customer care. He is based in the company’s New York City corporate headquarters.

 

Mr. Hobbs was named COO in 2005. He had served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2001, responsible for finance, accounting, treasury, tax, facilities and information technology. Before joining Time Warner Cable, he was Vice President, Financial Analysis and Operations Support for Time Warner Inc., where he oversaw budgeting, financial forecasting and profit improvement for divisions including AOL, Warner Bros., Time Warner Cable, Warner Music, Time Inc., Home Box Office, Turner Broadcasting, New Line Cinema and the WB Network. Earlier, Mr. Hobbs was Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., where he worked from 1993 until 2000. Before joining Turner Broadcasting, he was Senior Vice President and Audit Director for Banc One Illinois Corporation, and was Senior Manager with KPMG Peat Marwick from 1984 to 1990.

 

Mr. Hobbs serves on the Board of Trustees of the National 4-H Council and on the New York State Board of Directors of The Nature Conservancy. He chairs C-SPAN’s Executive Committee and also serves on the boards of Canoe Ventures, LLC, Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT) and the CTAM Education Foundation. He has devoted many years in support of the arts, primarily through involvement with various musical groups, orchestras, jazz ensembles and small professional recording groups.

 

A native of Fort Worth, Mr. Hobbs is a graduate of Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX.
